Dr. Trisha Lichtenberger completed her Bachelor's and Master's of Science degrees at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. She then pursued a PhD in neuroscience in Dr. Shalina Ousman's lab at the University of Calgary. Dr. Lichtenberger's PhD research focused on the role of a specific protective protein on immune cell function during the neuroinflammation that occurs in models of multiple sclerosis. During her time in the PhD program at the University of Calgary, she was able to participate and benefit fully from the programs driven by the Alberta MS Network. Upon completing her degree in the Spring of 2017, Dr. Lichtenberger transitioned into the role of managing the Alberta MS Network.
